Dearest womanhood, today, the 8th of March, countries around the world celebrate Women's Day.
International Women's Day is a Civil awareness day. History teaches us that women around the world suffered and sacrificed a lot for their/our rights.
Many of these rights that we take for granted nowadays.
International Women's day is celebrated every year since... it's quite a long story.
Russia's played a huge role in all this, says Wikipedia. In 1917, Petrograd, some women textile workers began a demonstration for bread and peace.
After that, many women worldwide demonstrated for freedom and rights.
As I wrote here (click, it will take you to a different blog), in my country (Romania), women's day is celebrated every year on the 8th of March, but mostly by mothers. The communism regime respected women who gave birth to as many children as possible.
Many have died for rights but is the world in a good place regarding this?
Are all women around the globe treated with respect and dignity?
Does womankind have what they need everywhere on this earth?
No.
There is a long way to go for that. It is heartbreaking, though, that in 2021 there are so many girls on this planet that are denied an education, for example.
It's unacceptable that many women are not free to decide who to marry, if...
I truly hope that sooner, rather than later, all humankind (not only women) are treated with respect and have equal rights.
I will always have hope that we all do the right thing one day.
Happy International Women's Day to all humans who are and feel women!
